Marie Trexler Marie leads the fund's investment activities. Marie comes to Good Capital from Intel Corp where she most recently ran business development for the Digital Enterprise Group. The core of her experience, however, comes from 7 years at Intel Capital, Intel’s multi-billion dollar strategic investment arm, where she ran investment teams in both the US and Europe focused on making venture capital investments in high tech startups. With more than 60 venture investments under her belt, Marie was also responsible for starting up Intel Capital’s investment program in Eastern Europe where she identified and consummated Intel’s first equity investment, as well as first acquisition, in Russia. Prior to Intel, Marie built her emerging markets private equity and banking experience at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank), a Czech SME fund, ING Barings and EurAmerica Capital. She graduated from Dartmouth College and received an MBA from the University of Virginia. Marie can be reached at marie@goodcap.net. Deb coordinates the fund's operational aspects, portfolio development and deployment of capital. Deb was an associate at SJF Ventures during business school, a community development venture fund focusing on cleantech and the LOHAS sector. Prior to school, she spent six years in business development, marketing, and partner management at WGBH, Intuit and The North Face. Deb received her MBA from Kenan Flagler Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill, where she was a Carolina Venture Fellow with a focus on sustainable enterprise and entrepreneurship. As the Net Impact chapter leader, Deb launched the Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition (SVCIC), an event that puts MBA student teams in the role of VCs evaluating real business opportunities of socially responsible businesses actively seeking capital. Deb can be reached at deb@goodcap.net. Wes coordinates portfolio development for Good Capital's investment portfolio including the Social Enterprise Expansion Fund. He has six years of financial experience and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Prior to Good Capital, Wes spent two years as an Equity Research Associate at William Blair & Company covering the Advertising and Marketing space, and four years with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance where he provided advisory services on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Wes earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BBA from the University of Michigan with an emphasis in Finance. He is a Board Advisor for NamasteDirect, a non-profit organization that supports microfinance in Latin America. Wes can be reached at wes@goodcap.net. Jennifer Nice Jennifer has worked to advance the socially responsible investment category for the past seven years. She worked to develop new distribution channels for The Women’s Equity Mutual Fund and during her tenure also pursued the launch of a new institutional fund targeting Community Development investments. Jennifer has worked on developing private placements that have targeted a variety of categories including solar energy and microcredit and has also been active in the creation of Donor Advised Fund Programs with Foundations that highlight socially responsible investing. Previously she served as the COO of a global consulting firm that focused on the high tech and marketing industries. Jennifer received her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently sits on the Board of the Bootstrap Fund. Jennifer can be reached at jennifer.nice@goodcap.net. Jackie VanderBrug Jackie cultivates and manages investor relationships. Jackie is an entrepreneur with experience in starting and scaling ventures in for-profit and non-profit sectors. As a member of the start up team and Vice President for Business Development of iBasis, she forged relationships with technology leaders such as Cisco and HP to build the now $1B internet telecommunications firm. As co-founder and Executive Director of Work in Progress, a Youth Development program she created relationships with local Universities and employers. She also has been strategy consultant to Fortune 500 firms (with CSC Index), non-profits and foundations (with Criterion Ventures). She began her career as a Programming Analyst for the Congressional Budget Office of the US Congress in matters of domestic social policy. Jackie received an MBA from The University of Michigan, and was at the founding meeting of Students for Responsible Business (now Net Impact). Jackie can be reached at jackie@goodcap.net. Trained as a lawyer and investment banker, Mark spent eleven successful years on Wall Street. He co-founded Collective Intelligence in 2001 and xigi.net in 2005 to help catalyze the emerging capital market for good. Collective Intelligence is a global group of entrepreneurs dedicated to improving the efficiency of social ecosystems and social enterprises. xigi.net is a new kind of research and communications platform to accelerate the flow of capital to good. Meredith Walters Meredith has six years of experience working with non-profit organizations dedicated to social justice and the alleviation of poverty. She has worked as a community organizer, program director, volunteer consultant, and intern at mission-driven organizations in the U.S. and Mexico. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic in San Francisco, CA. Meredith received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MBA from the University of San Francisco’s Masagung School of Business where she was a McClaren Fellow with an emphasis in entrepreneurship.
